Let’s hear from one of our C7 Alums- Yavantika Malani
"There are decades where nothing happens and there are weeks where decades happen."
This quote sums up my journey at Stoa. And when I say this, I am not talking about the strategies, frameworks, or all the technical stuff that I learned here; I am talking about the journey that transformed me at a deeper level- the journey that made me comfortable in my own skin.
Six months ago I walked into the course as someone who was an introvert, scared of taking the stage, doubtful about leading from the front, and generally critical of anything and everything she did. Cut to the present: I am now a people person. Not a single case weekend (almost :P) went by without me presenting. Talk about self-doubt? Well, I ended up challenging my cohort pals for the capstone (before even starting the work). And this personal transformation wasn't even the best part of my journey.
What stood out, was meeting people who took unconventional decisions in life. I am in the same category. I know how lonely it can get, and how much it can fill you with self-doubt. Meeting these gems, and especially my first team, made me feel that I 'belong'. Yes. My first team made Stoa all the more special for me. They have been my biggest cheerleaders and played a pivotal role in my transformation. We fit so well, that we ended up working together for our capstone too. And boy, did we kill it?
Stoa has instilled within me a faith that I have the power to 'punch above my weight’ and achieve whatever I set my eyes on. Cheers to the journey I hope never ends
Signing off with a sigh!
Go Team!
