🎉Hurrah!🎉
Hello hello, fam!
News flash! Our folks from C8 have completed their Stoa program, yay!
6 months of weekday prompts, weekend classes, random banter, case studies, community mixers, offline meet-ups, and whatnot. After 6 months of creating beautiful memories and friendships like none other, our Cohort 8 is on to their new journey, the Charter cruise.
We are going to miss y’all during sessions but we are looking forward to all the chit-chatting, music recommendations and of course, Discord cafes.
Sending full Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna vibes to our C8 fam! 🫶🏻
🎓 Bittersweet Goodbye 🎓
Here’s Somya Raghuwanshi from C8 sharing her experience.
Dear Stoa,
I remember the day I got the acceptance mail from you. I knew that it is the start of something new. However, it didn’t take me long to realize that this won't be just any educational endeavor. I am in for a gestalt journey.
Gestalt theory emphasizes that the whole of anything is greater than its parts. You gave me this insight quite early on in the program. And it turned out to be brilliantly beautiful and brutally honest.
I have often found myself so fixated on the rut of achieving something tangible - a specific compensation, job title, dream company, that I forget there is more to me other than just these aspects.
You brought forth a perspective that made me look at things in unison rather than in isolation. Be it good or bad. A few hiccups in logistics are just one piece of the puzzle, and so is the Charter. I am more than that, and this program is more than that. You groomed me professionally and helped me personally by connecting me with like-minded people. People with the pure intent of enriching each other's lives.
You made me introspect on what I truly wanted and reflect on what I was doing. You gave me the support and resources to make the right choice rather than the anecdotal ‘correct’ advice. And as this journey comes to an end, I have nothing but gratitude for what you have made me.
Thank you for inevitably adding value while making sure I had fun.
With Love,
Once a Stoan, now a proud alum.
Go Team!
🧠 Today I learned… 🧠
While reminiscing about his childhood, Sidhartha Gautam Bal from Cohort 10 uncovered something interesting. Something that we are sure a lot of your will start noticing after reading this-
Have you ever felt this?🧐
I have a story to tell, my friends.
I craved some buttered toast the other day and realized that I had run out of butter but instead noticed that my mother had some GRB ghee in the cupboard. I spent the next 5 minutes reading the label of the dabba to see if the ghee is edible, why did I do that?
I realized that my mother has been using GRB ghee for pooja, rituals for the last 2 decades and subconsciously, I had associated the ghee with pooja.
That was so fascinating, even though the ghee is completely edible, my mind was hesitant, it made me curious.
I searched a bit and found out how companies use modern marketing and branding to create an identity with a particular product. Think about it….
Dettol is the default for handwash, Cello tape is the default for tapes, and everyone’s favorite, Maggi for instant noodles. And I know GRB is not trying to brand itself as a pooja ghee product but it’s just the perception I had about the product.
P.S. – Try drizzling some honey or sprinkling some brown sugar on ghee-ed toast, it is delicious. 😋
Ah, interesting! Think about it folks and if there’s a product that has played with your mind and habit, do share it with us. :)
