Stoa Digest #89: 🤏🏼Little Things🤏🏼
Celebrate your big wins, but don't let the little things slip by!
Hey hey folks,
Our alums from Cohort 01 to Cohort 09 completed the first Stoa Charter last weekend and they (and we) are eagerly waiting for the results!
It’s been a roller coaster of a journey, from kicking off the process last December, almost three months ago.
We are super proud to see the effort put in by fellows on their projects. From market research to analysing data to making projections. Heading headfirst into challenging business problems to derive a new solution.
Leveraging your learnings, not just from the weekends, but your peers, shared discussions, and your experience, even the painful ones. It was amazing seeing so many of you bring it all together for your final jury evaluation.
We have more deets on their way soon!
Ps. It was awesome seeing ya’ll take pride in your craft. ✨
This week’s spotlight falls on Aanchal Sharma from Cohort 10!
Aanchal is currently a talented brewmaster at Underdoggs, where she uses her knowledge of microbiology and fermentation to craft delicious beverages. It's amazing to see how she started her journey as a content writer and made her way to microbrewery production
“My first day as a brewer got me super nervous cause I didn’t know if I would like it but I realised that experimentation is a big part of the journey and I loved it! I want to open my own microbrewery someday and explore different flavours!”
She recently experimented with a Guava flavoured brew for a Valentine’s special! Now you know who to approach for some exotic brews to spice up your parties.🍻
🐝 Community Buzz 🐝
We had a bunch of meet-ups happen over the weekend - Cohort 11 fellows met up in Bangalore while Cohort 8 fellows caught up in Delhi and Mumbai! The Stoa fam hangouts are FOMO inducing, for real!
We also hosted our first edition of Artist Collective featuring talented musicians from the community- Bhavya from C7, Anmol from C8, Nikhil and Kartik from C9, and Adi from the Stoa team!
Show some love by following them on their socials and stay tuned for the next edition where we bring another new creative domain from the community to you.
🤔 Have you met? 🤔
Have you met Priyanka Jain from C11, she leads product design at NextBillion.ai. She sketches and plays video games outside of work. Naruto is her favourite anime. #teamsasuke. She’s also a pro at Figma. She’s promised to show the Stoa community her sketches soon 😝
Meet Ayaz Zargham, also from C11. He’s always up for trying new sports and tells us he sings and cooks. (Gotta take him up on that). He spends his waking hours working as a PMO over at GlobalLogic. Oof another anime fan, Attack on Titan is his go-to show rn.
Finally, this week, meet Nikhita Iyer, coincidentally, also from C11. An economics alum, currently working as a lead project manager at Sporjo. She’s also part of a music duo where she plays the drums. You should check out their track here. She’s also someone you can frequently bug for music suggestions!
🔥 Community Sneak Peak 🔥
This week we have a creative and actionable Notion workshop hosted by our very own community manager Jahnavy Gaggar! Don’t worry, along with learning, we have a fun co-creation activity for you to wreck your brains at 🤯
Wednesday, 15th March, 9PM onwards!
